APCToday.com is a unique online journal designed to serve as a high-level information portal for advanced practice clinicians (APCs)—nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), nurse-midwives, and certified nurse specialists—who share similar dedication and scopes of practice regardless of their area of specialized expertise.
Each month, the home page of APCToday presents clinical articles drawn from the current issues of Quadrant HealthCom Inc.'s highly-regarded medical journals; CURRENT PSYCHIATRY, THE JOURNAL OF FAMILY PRACTICE, and OBG MANAGEMENT. In addition, new journal supplements offering free continuing education credits are posted and archived in the CE/CME library section.
Another part of the site, called “From the Field,” presents original articles contributed by NPs and PAs that deal with the kind of clinical, policy, and workplace issues APCs confront in practice every day.
This year we are presenting 3 new features; a series of Case Studies tied into an Instant Poll, to challenge our readers’ diagnostic skill; APCfindit, a vertical search tool specially designed for the interests of APCs, with more than 1.5 million pages of information; and APCblogit, a blog where readers can air their opinions and concerns.
